Glenhelen Smither

Founder/Executive Director, Glenhelen Smither has a long history of service to the Shelton/Mason County Community through arts and education.  Glenhelen was the originator of the Empty Bowls project over 18 years ago.  An annual event sponsored by the Shelton Arts Commission, bringing the community together to produce ceramic art and culminating in a fundraiser for the local food bank raising nearly $25,000 to date. She has demonstrated a commitment to collaboration and community through art instruction with the City’s recreation program, Olympic College and Shelton School District. She holds a Masters in Art Education and has been a professional artist for 46 years!

Kim Rinehardt

Vice President, Kim Rinehardt, is the Executive Director of Mason County H.O.S.T. (Housing Options for Students in Transition). She has served kids in this community, finding housing, offering emotional and life coaching support for over ten years. She brings her tremendous expertise in running nonprofits as well as her passion for social justice to our Center for Community Creativity.

Don Winslow

President, Don Winslow, originally from Port Orchard, Washington, graduated from South Kitsap High School and hold degrees in Business Administration from Olympic College and Western Washington University. He has twenty-five years of experience working in the private sector and nearly twenty-four years working in the public sector for the Washington State Department of Social & Health Services (DSHS). In addition to serving on the CCC board, he serves on the board of Housing Options for Students in Transition (HOST) and previously served on the board of South Mason Youth Soccer Club (SMYSC), where he also served as a coach for twelve years. Don is married with two adult daughters and one grandson. His interests include drumming, billiards, gardening, reading, listening to music, monitoring current events, and spending time with his family, friends and numerous pets. 


Lori Heinzen

Serving as treasurer, she is an accountant by day and community volunteer and outdoor enthusiast off hours.  Lori has a love of being involved in her communities by volunteering in a variety of positions. She has served on Shelton Arts Commission, is a Big Buddy at a camp for kids that are survivors of sexual abuse, and many other community events. Her activities include kayaking, hiking, bicycling, photography, and gardening.  She lives in Shelton, Washington.  Her photography has been included in Shelton Rotating Art Gallery, Peninsula Art Association annual community art show, and has recently been chosen to have a photograph displayed on a power box in downtown Shelton.
